Headquartered in the Swiss Jura (Le Noirmont), The “Société des Montres Paul Picot SA” was founded.

1976
The same year company produced the model Chrono Vintage. Venus movement, hand winding, full calendar, moonphase, and golden case. This watch quickly found its lovers.

1978
Paul Picot launched a new model U-BOOT – the first chronograph with the rider to read the time on a bezel.

1987
The year when the legendary model was produced. The first Le Plongeur (A-Type) which became the icon and the basis for the future collections.

1989
The World premiere of the new Le Plongeure B-Type with the bezel made of sapphire crystal.

1989
The same year Paul Picot became the official sponsor of the Off-Shore World Championship and kept being a sponsor until 1993.

1991
Innovative chronograph with patented screw-in pushers.

1993
Paul Picot hired the star photographer Helmuth Newton for its image campaign. The New York Times described him as a “prolific, widely imitated fashion photographer whose provocative, erotically charged black-and-white photos were a mainstay of Vogue and other publications.”

1993
First and the only self-winding officially COSC-certified chronograph with a central split-second hand function, power reserve indicator. This model was an award winner in Germany and USA.

1994
Innovative design with the unmistakable “encoche” – case cut at 9 o’clock. This model became the watch of the year in Germany in 1998.

1995
Prince Albert received a personal watch during Charity in Monaco.

1997
Paul Picot awarded the F1 driver winning the Pole Position in Monza with a Limited Edition of Chronograph.

Technograph is an example of a particularly successful marriage between supreme mastery of watchmaking techniques and their impressive implementation in ground-breaking design.

Atelier models are part of this extraordinary collection which has made the brand success and places it among the “great” watchmakers.

2012
Following long research, Paul Picot has developed a heavy rotor made of tungsten alloy and fitted with an 18 kt pink gold plate which improves the winding capacity of the movement. It reduces the recharging time by 20% compared to a traditional oscillating weight.

2013
Paul Picot launched a new enamel collection. The dials are hand-painted miniatures and have been passed several times through an oven heated between 800 and 900°C.
This technique, which dates back to the 17th century, produces exceptional enamel with unalterable colors.

2013
In 1927, speed car racer Giuseppe Morandi, together with Giuseppe Minoia, became the winner of the First Edition of the Millemiglia race. Paul Picot celebrates this legendary Car Driver by creating a Classic Car Team and organizing every year a very exclusive event dedicated only to Classic Cars produced before the year 1940. To this fascinating world, Paul Picot produces Limited Edition models – Morandi-Minoia in Gentleman Chrono case.

A new Masterpiece. Limited Edition of 88 pcs in 18K gold and 300 pcs in stainless steel.

Paul Picot launched a new collection Savoia Marchetti dedicated to the “Trasvolata”, a squadron of 25 aircraft crossing the Atlantic Ocean from Orbetello (Italy) to Chicago (USA).

2016
Paul Picot presents new Ladies’ watches, with automatic calibers, which is not so common today in the watch industry, where most Ladies’ watches are equipped with quartz movements. The dials are made of solid silver or natural mother-of-pearl. The “Cherry Blossom” dials are hand-painted, piece by piece.

2016
Paul Picot The Eye of the Tiger is made in a limited series of 40 pieces in rose gold and 400 in steel. The main feature of the model concerns the existence of two superimposed dials, the one below in natural stone. The stone used, in homage to the spirit and trend of the 70s, is the tiger’s eye which offers the observer an exciting variety of shades, tones, and contrasts of yellow, ocher, and brown.

2017
In 1987, the offshore powerboat from the Paul Picot Team won the most important competition worldwide. To further consolidate the link between the brand and those fascinating and extreme challenges, Paul Picot created a sports watch within its Collection: Le Plongeur. The innovative design and the original codes of this creation made a sensation within the watch market. For 30 years, the C-type (the advanced model of the Le Plongeur) identifies the sporting spirit of Paul Picot. To celebrate this anniversary, the brand from Le Noirmont reveals a new amazing black steel / 18k rose gold version.

2018
The Yachtman Club marks another chapter in a story in which the sea plays a central role for Paul Picot.

2020
The great model Paul Mariner became greater with a new bronze case and new dial variations.

2022
Paul Picot continues to improve one of the best collections.
